Andrew Martin, Head Teacher
Andrew is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Global Public Health and Developmental & Learning Sciences (Class of 2023). His studies emphasized mental health, child development, and the ways young people grow and thrive in supportive communities.
Before joining SAfG, Andrew spent two years as a high school educator in the Fruitvale community, teaching 9th and 10th grade. Most recently, he served as a School Operations Manager with Teach For America, where he supported and developed over 25 first-year teachers. In his new role as Head STEM Teacher, Andrew is excited to give back to the Bay Area community and help create equitable opportunities for students.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys connecting with his community, exploring the Bay Area, and finding new ways to stay active and grounded.
