Amanda Mathews, Head Teacher
Amanda Mathews is a Bay Area native with some serious STEM power—she earned her bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara and a master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. She’s passionate about sparking curiosity and showing young girls that STEM can take them anywhere. Outside the classroom, Amanda keeps things creative and adventurous—whether she’s crocheting, getting lost in a good book, or carving down snowy slopes on her snowboard. She’s also a former counselor at a music camp for middle and high school students, and she’s excited to bring her unique mix of skills, energy, and creativity to the SAfG team!
