Smita Balaji, Kellogg Board Fellow

Smita is currently an MBA candidate at the Kellogg School of Management

Prior to starting at Kellogg, Smita spent over four years at Deloitte as a management consultant helping clients shape strategic agendas and capture value at the intersection of AI technology and social impact. She has always been fascinated by the intersection of STEM and business - particularly how innovation can be brought to any context to drive social good and real business influence.

A Bay Area native, Smita earned her B.S. in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was heavily involved with the Society of Women Engineers serving as Vice President of the university’s chapter.

In her free time, Smita spends her free time doing yoga, binging reality TV, and painting. On the weekends you can usually find her hiking, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
