Claudia Leiva, Head Teacher and Program Coordinator

My name is Claudia Leiva. I studied for a Bachelor’s degree in Education and an Associate’s degree in Business Marketing to work in educational organizations such as Scientific Adventures for Girls. I’m pleased to have the opportunity to teach and promote STEM programs that engage BIPOC communities and underserved populations. During my experience as a teacher, I discovered that STEM could be for anyone and that teachers can make STEM enjoyable and less tortuous by incorporating hands-on projects into their classes. My goal with this new role is to inspire teachers to revolutionize education through experiential learning and encourage new generations to follow the STEM pathway.
