Family STEAM Night Wednesday, March 22!

Join Scientific Adventures for Girls and Pixar Animation Studios for a free hour of virtual science. Learn about the animation process and engage in hands-on activities inspired by Pixar’s new movie Lightyear.

The first 100 registrants will receive a free supplies kit in the mail. Get yours before they’re gone!

SAfG is providing national training for Million Girls Moonshot

SAfG has partnered with Million Girls Moonshot to engage more girls in engineering! Holly Bluhm, our Manger of Programs, is leading 3 trainings in February and March for a cohort of teachers and school districts across the nation. She'll share our curriculum approach and best teaching practices for delivering hands-on engineering lessons to K-6th grade students.

Alumni Resources

UCB's Girls in Engineering: Girls in Engineering is an introductory STEM summer camp aimed to expose middle school students to a variety of STEM fields through hands-on activities. Applications due March 31.

Careers in Science (CiS) Intern Program with Cal Academy of Science: Careers in Science is a paid internship for San Francisco high school students who come from communities underrepresented in STEM, including girls and students of color. Applications due April 3.

The Cellular Construction Workshop with UCSF Science & Health Education Partnership (SEP): The Cellular Construction Workshop is a NSF-funded two-week summer workshop for high school teachers and students to learn about the field of cellular engineering. Applications due March 19.

2023 Summer ROAR Academy for High School Students: ROAR Academy is a 10-day program where students will gain sufficient knowledge to participate in ROAR competition entirely with software simulation. Students will focus on learning about Python programming and introductory autonomous driving algorithms. Applications due March 24.
