SeA Bilingual STEM Camp

SeA @ Berkeley Lab is a free 4-day spring break camp for English learning/Spanish-English bilingual students who are interested in learning more about STEM and career opportunities at Berkeley Lab.

For: 9th-12th grades

STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) Summer High School Intern Program

Applications are open for the SEES Summer High School Intern Program. The program provides selected students with exposure to Earth and space research. Interns will learn how to interpret NASA satellite data while working with scientists and engineers in their chosen area of work.

For: 10th and 11th grades

Girls International Three-Minute Science Competition

Submissions for Girl’s Three Minute Science Competition are now open. Share your passion in science through a short science video, with the opportunity to win a cash prize.

2024 Girls Who Code Summer Programs

Applications are open for Girls Who Code Summer Programs. The Computer Science programs include the Summer Immersion Program (SIP) and the Self-Paced Program (SPP).

UC Berkeley’s Girls in Engineering Summer Program

Girls in Engineering focuses on introducing middle school students to engineering and STEM fields during week-long summer camps. As an introductory STEAM camp, it is especially suited for students who show an interest in STEM but have not had an opportunity to explore it extensively. The program is an immersive, hands-on experience led by UCB faculty, staff, and researchers.
For: Rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders

Berkeley Lab Director’s Apprenticeship Program

The Berkeley Lab Director’s Apprenticeship Program (BLDAP) is a project-based high school STEM program designed to help participants develop 21st century skills, learn about Berkeley Lab’s research activities, receive college and career guidance, and develop a STEM network in a real-life work environment.

For: 10th and 11th grade public school students in Alameda, San Francisco, and West Contra Costa counties

Deadline: April 1

2023 Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program

Applications are open for the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program, awarding up to 100 renewable $10,000 scholarships to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, and physics fields.

For: High school senior with a 2.5 or above GPA
